Thonga Beach is located on the unspoilt beach of Mabibi, that stretches for miles and offers fantastic snorkelling at the nearby coral reefs directly in front of the lodge. Voted the most romantic beach lodge on the Elephant coast, the lodge has 12 eco-sensitve thatched rooms, with either ocean or forest views, made up of 1 honeymoon, 1 family & 3 Ocean View rooms & 2 family & 5 Forest views.

Nesting Loggerhead & Leatherback turtle sites start at the lodge and stretch further down the beach.
This protected iSimangalisa Wetlands spans 332 000 ha and is home to the oldest land mammal, the Rhinoceros, the largest land mammal, the Elephant, & shares & ecosystem with the oldest fish, the Coelacanth & the biggest marine mammal, the Whale.
